Effective October 1, 2024, FedEx will enforce new compliance standards for machine vision and artificial intelligence (MV+AI)† devices to enhance safety and operational efficiency.
Based on this new update, the Lytx® SF64, SF1, and SF200 devices will no longer meet the minimum compliance standards set by FedEx. Service Providers using these devices will need to upgrade to a compliant MV+AI device, by September 30, 2024, to remain compliant.
**We recommend you upgrade sooner rather than later, as the order deadline is August 1, 2024. Should you choose to pay for a professional installation, these will need to be scheduled and confirmed no later than this date. Start your upgrade by using the form here or emailing VEDRupgrade@lytx.com.
Discontinuation of transfers for non-compliant devices
As of May 22, 2024, Lytx has stopped offering consent for the transfer of non-compliant devices, including the SF64, SF1, and SF200 models. This measure aims to ensure that all Service Providers maintain the highest standards of safety and performance, while meeting the latest mandate for MV+AI.
Transition to MV+AI compliant devices
FedEx has designated the Lytx SF300 and SF400 devices as MV+AI compliant. These devices leverage MV+AI to maximize optimal performance. The SF300 and SF400 devices are also eligible for transfer with Lytx’s consent.
How to Determine If You Need an Upgrade
To check if you have compliant devices under FedEx’s new mandate, please follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the ADMIN section of your Lytx Account.
- Navigate to Device Management (lefthand side).
- Under the ‘Device Type’ column, you will be able to identify device models that are compliant (SF300, SF400) and non-compliant (SF64, SF1, SF200).
