Encryption
Our strict access controls manage access to sensitive data to authorized personnel. Role-based access controls (RBAC) restrict data access based on the user's role within the organization. We also use attribute-based access (ABAC) to secure not just role permissions but also permissions on individual objects.

We employ a multi-layered network security approach, including network and application firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and DDoS protection to detect and prevent unauthorized access.
Network
Regular data backups and a robust disaster recovery plan support data availability and integrity in case of an incident.

Data is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill its intended purposes and in accordance with contractual and legal requirements.

We support our customers with individual rights requests to access, correct, and delete their personal data in accordance with our agreements and applicable regulations.

Configurable Privacy By Design

Unlike competitors, we offer a highly configurable product approach, allowing our customers to tailor our solutions to their specific needs. This flexibility not only enhances the functionality of our products but also ensures that our customers can implement the highest levels of data security and privacy tailored to their unique requirements.
Risk ID Without Recording

This feature allows customers to identify risks without recording actual video content, protecting privacy while still providing valuable insights. In-cab alerts remain enabled while in-cab recording and live view are disabled. 
Dynamic Adjust (Geofencing)

Our geofencing feature, Dynamic Adjust, enables customers to set specific geographical boundaries for data collection. This addresses data requirements to only collect in designated areas, enhancing privacy and compliance.
Lytx Conceal Service (Blurring)

Lytx Conceal Service (currently only available in Europe) is a cloud-based service that blurs certain personal information in video recordings. This feature helps maintain privacy without compromising the utility of the video data. 
Disable In-Cab Lens

The in-cabin lens can be fully disabled and if needed even physically covered with a dedicated cover.
Disable Audio Recording

Audio recordings can be turned on/off and are disabled by default. 
Cloud Server Location

Reseller partners can choose the location of the cloud server that stores their customer's data. Available locations are North America and Europe. Additional locations can be considered if needed.
Limit Live Videos

Live streaming of the in-cab lens can be turned off and is set to off by default. 
SD Card Encryption

Encrypt recordings on the SD card using an encryption algorithm that is supported by the Federal Information Processing Standard – FIPS 140-2. 
User Permissions

Administrators can change other users' permissions. Permission levels include administrator, supervisor, user, and restricted.
