Beacon Mobility Accelerates Risk Reduction with Lytx Integrations

Lytx and Workday integration

Workday is a cloud-based enterprise software platform that provides integrated solutions for human resources, finance, and planning. Using Workday, organizations can manage employee data, track performance, and handle financial transactions all in one place.

In the last two years, Beacon has grown from 5,000 to over 15,000 employees. That’s a lot of new employees to add to internal systems in a short timeframe. Beacon created an integration between Workday and Lytx to feed employee information on a real-time basis. So, when a new employee is hired, changes locations, or has similar updates, it flows from Workday to Lytx.

“The importance of that,” says Gaurav Sharda, Chief Technology Officer of Beacon Mobility, “is it ends up creating the right set of information in Lytx to ensure that our safety people can coach and educate the drivers. Without the employee information in Lytx, events are created without any people assigned and it creates a lot of manual work for the safety people to just try to find the drivers.” But with the integration, safety managers know the data in Lytx is accurate and can use it to improve safety outcomes.

Lytx and Bytecurve integration

Bytecurve is a versatile analytics platform designed to provide deep insights into business performance metrics. Through its intuitive interface and robust data visualization tools, Bytecurve empowers users to track key metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions swiftly. Beacon uses Lytx GPS webhook as well as GPS API to pull fleet tracking data,whichisthen pushed into Bytecurvefortwo main purposes: dispatching andverification with near real-time GPS updates for Bytecurve’s parent tracker.

Lytx and FleetWave integration

FleetWave, Beacon’s vehicle management system, has an integration that feeds vehicle information from FleetWave to Lytx. All vehicle information starts in FleetWave and is fed to Lytx. So, when an asset is added, disposed of, or changes locations, the information is added to FleetWave and automatically updated in real time to Lytx. Conversely, when Lytx devices are installed in vehicles, that information is transmitted to FleetWave. This helps Beacon not only keep tabs on which vehicles have cameras installed, but also report on device health. When device health is uncertain, the system alerts fleet maintenance to quickly fix the unit so Beacon’s employees are operating in a safe environment.

“It’s critical for these systems to talk to each other,” Sharda explains. “Vehicle and employee information is key to ensuring that we are able to connect the right event to the right vehicle and the right driver; and then provide accurate information so the safety folks can take action.”
